also the state line between Tenn. & North Carolina. What wonderful views and scenery to take in. I am in awe and marvel at what God has provided us when he created this place we call earth. He is a awesome GOD!
The weather was in the 40's when we started into the park, but by the time we got to the top it was in the high 20's to the low 30's. It was starting to snow up in the higher elevations. and as you looked across the valleys at distant ridges you could see the rain or snow in the air. Very pretty.

Every turn in the road you just wanted to stop and take another picture or two. We finally ran out of daylight and headed back to camp. I checked my elevation at camp and it read 1000 ft, over a 4000 ft difference between the top of the mountains to where we stay.
If I haven't mentioned before, the street pilot GPS system has been an awesome tool on this
whole trip. I changed the display to show the elevation in addition to the map. Then when its time to go back to camp, just push (go to) and hit camp and away we go. Great TOOL!!!!
We asked another couple who were stopped at this spot to take this picture and we did the same for them.
More pictures on 2nd post.
