LIVE NATIVITY SCENE

Last tue. evening we went to a live nativity scene in St. Mary's.
It was very pretty and well done.
It was a perfect night for it and just as they were reading the part of a star appearing in the sky, I looked up & there was a single bright star to the E. Made me tingle inside.
GOD IS GOOD!!!

They had all the animals. Goats, sheep, and cattle.

Lots of people were there to take this in. Makes you reflect on God's gift to the world.

He is LORD!!!!!!!

ST. MARYS CHRISTMAS LIGHTS & HOMES

Mom and Sid and Cathy took a night trip to tour old homes in St. Mary's all done up for Christmas.
They were beautiful and all done up sooo nice.

This is inside a B&B in town. Neat!

These last two were down in Fl. A whole group of us took a car ride & ran into this house in a sub-division.
The owner was out dressed as Santa & giving out candy canes. He even had a chair so kids could sit on his lap & get their picture taken.

He had a dancing bear, so Mom & I had our picture taken with it.

GETTING SETTELED INTO COUNTRY OAKS.

Got to Country Oaks on the 10th, and started setting up home for the next 3 months.

It was good to hook up with the old gang down here. We ended up parked next to Dennis & Jane, so we ended up pulling in frontwards so that our two rigs face each other.

Went to Lowe's and picked up some patio blocks and now we have a walkway between the carpets.

Also went to Lowe's and got some lumber and made a table out of it along with the shelve I made last spring as a pet ramp for Sam.

Now we have a grilling table.

Some of the decorations we added for Christmas.

Camp for the next 3 months!

The weather has been mid 70's to 80 ever since we got here.

RIVER STREET IN SAVANNAH

We got to Savannah and spent 4 nights. These are shots from River Street.

There was a restored old sailing ship that a tribe of Indian's had restored and were using as a gospel outreach instrument. It was neat and very interesting. Some of the tribe members were on board and witnessing for God.

Caught this huge cargo ship coming into port up the Savannah River. I ruffed the count of containers and estimated 500 on deck plus what was in the hold. That's big!

This is a Hyatt-Regency Hotel across the river from town.
Check out the yachts moored out in front.

Here's Mom checking out some of the shops in the vender's shacks along the waterfront.
I think she was looking for my Christmas present.!

HITTING THE ROAD

Well I finally am getting back at blogging. We left home on 11/30 and traveled through a snow storm around Lansing, Mi. We got to Angola, Ind. and stayed 1 night. The 2nd day took us to Scottsburg, Ind. (bottom of the State), and again stayed 1 night. The 3rd day we went through

Ky. and into Tn. and stayed just south of Nashville. These pictures were taken at a rest stop in Tn. It was over-looking the Tenn. River at the backwaters of the Nick-A-Jack Reservoir. Great views. Also had to take the opportunity to show off the new truck with the rig. (Really a much better truck to handle the 5th Wheel)

We stayed 2 nights at the Nashville campground and finally lost the rest of the snow off the top of the camper.

The 4th day of travel took us to 30 miles south of Atlanta, Ga., where we again stayed 2 nights.

From there we traveled to Savannah, Ga. and spent 4 nights.
Then on the 10th we moved on down to Country Oaks. Was really glad to get there. The whole trip went very smooth, and we are now enjoying the sunny South.

Will get some more pictures and stories from Savannah and Country Oaks in a day or 2.

Love, Mom & Dad
