DAY 1 & 2, OUTBOUND

Well, as anything we plan, we finally got started Wed. Nov 28 at 11:00 am instead of 9:00 am, but at least we are on the road.

It was an uneventful, but pleasant, drive to Monroe to find the campground. Well maybe one worthwhile event. I found that I can't drive, watch the GPS unit for directions, and talk on the cell phone at the same time. Going down M-52 south of Chelsea, I was going thru some small town and talking to Jake on the phone, and just somehow missed a turn in town. By the time we figured it out we were out in the country with no place to turn around, so I let the GPS re-route me. Got us to where we wanted but wasted about 1/2 hour.

What a beautiful campground we are staying in. Hard, level, gravel pads, pull-thru parking, exceptional clean restrooms with shower in each room. Very friendly staff and 1st rate service. I needed a propane tank re-filled, and they said, just leave it in front of the camper by the road and someone would fill it and drop it back off. Anyway here are some pictures of the camp area.

Also we spent most of today, Thursday, at Cabala's. This place is awesome. Wouldn't mind having a extra grand or two to blow in there, but that would only get us a handful of what we liked. Mom fell in love with the place. More pictures of some of the mounts below.

Sam's doing well on the trip, just being Sam.

Friday morning planing on pulling out and heading for Southern Ohio. We will let all know more in a few days.
